About the Role:
Supply Desk is currently seeking a passionate and skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join a dynamic secondary school in Flackwell Heath. This rewarding role involves working closely with students, teachers, and families to support communication needs, enhance student engagement, and help each individual thrive academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess speech, language, and communication needs of referred students and design tailored intervention plans.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff to implement strategies that support language development within the classroom.
• Deliver one-on-one and small-group therapy sessions to students with diverse communication needs.
• Provide staff training and guidance on effective communication techniques to ensure consistent support for students.
• Maintain detailed records of student progress and adapt therapy plans to meet evolving needs.
• Actively engage with families to encourage supportive practices at home and provide updates on student progress.

Requirements:

• A degree in Speech and Language Therapy or an equivalent qualification.
• HCPC registration and RCSLT membership.
• Experience working with secondary school-aged students, preferably in educational settings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents.
• Compassion, patience, and a commitment to making a positive impact on young lives.
