Due to exciting projected works, they are currently seeking an experienced and self-motivated Project Engineer to join their dedicated team. This is a permanent vacancy in Townsville.

Your new role
Your new role will be hands-on, diverse and rewarding. As an on-site Civil Project Engineer, you'll attend site meetings, engage in IMS audits, and lead corrective actions. You'll define project specifications, monitor subcontractors, and prepare status reports. Collaborating with the Project Manager, you'll manage resources and time. You'll review performance indicators, identify OH&S needs, conduct risk assessments, and develop management plans. Working with the Project Administration Officer, you'll ensure project specifications are met. Additionally, you'll assist with tendering, price variations, assess progress claims, inspect workplaces, and address safety issues.
What you'll need to succeed
You have a strong civil construction background and an Australian recognised Engineering Degree. You are enthusiastic, customer-centric, and driven with a growth mindset.
The following will additionally lead to your success:
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Project Management or a similar field.
- Significant experience in the project management of multifaceted civil works projects, including project definition and cost planning.
- Demonstrated experience in contract administration, with specific experience in preparation and use of contract documentation for multi-faceted civil infrastructure projects.
- Strong supervision and leadership skills of both in-house staff and contractors.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong customer service focus and the ability to maintain solid relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

- Current QLD Class C Driver's Licence and Construction White Card.
