MMP Consultancy is seeking a Class 2f Building Control Surveyor and Building Control Surveyor to take responsibility for the regulation and compliance of building projects, from scheme appraisal to site inspection on behalf of a Local Authority based in Bedfordshire. This is a 3-month initial temporary contract subject to likely to extension. The rate of pay is 53ph over a 37 hour working week, Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm. Your Role: Oversee Building Control projects from conception to completion, ensuring compliance with health, safety, sustainability, energy, and accessibility regulations. Act as a technical expert, negotiating complex solutions and providing advice on Building Regulations to clients, partners, and internal teams. Represent the Council as an expert witness in enforcement actions related to Building Regulations. Commission the use of structural and fire safety specialists on complex projects. Support and guide less senior officers and administrative staff to ensure high service standards.Required Qualifications and Skills: Membership of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE) is essential. Class 2f BSI registration Extensive experience in managing Building Control projects, including negotiating technical solutions and collaborating with specialists on complex issues.
