WE Talent are currently working with a business based in Thurrock who are looking for a Procurement and Contracts Manager. This role is full time 37 hours a week, remote working on a Friday. As the Procurement and Contracts manager you will ideally come from a Public Sector background. You will oversee the maintenance of the procurement system, where you will develop and implement the Procurement Strategy in-line with business. Key duties of the role include; To obtain maximum value from frameworks and from the relationship with external organisations. Lead procurement and contracts process improvements. Facilitate the tendering of contracts to ensure compliance with legislation as well as financial regulations. Ensure that the required number of quotes are obtained / attached to the requisition, in order to comply with financial regulations. Manage and build relationships with key stakeholders. Supplier base management, including compliance with the Modern Slavery Act Providing reporting and Business Partnering to the wider business, including issuing supplier spend reports and identifying / following up on opportunities for cost savings To develop the Service Level Agreement for the Procurement function and monitor the performance against this. Preparing and ensuring internal processes are reviewed and updated to be ready for the go-live of the new procurement act Skill/Experience Requirements: Experience in a similar role within the public sector is essential. ..... full job details .....
