BUYER - CONTRACT - SURREY Our Client, an advanced technological and engineering platform for the design, construction and operation of safe and sustainable complex infrastructure and plants, is currently looking for an experienced Buyer to join the team working on an offshore construction project. The role involves the preparation/negotiation of major packages for EPCI of offshore packages. EXPERIENCE and SKILLS Extensive procurement experience essential. In depth understanding and experience of negotiating high value subcontracts and purchase orders within the oil and gas sector. Member of a Purchasing Institute preferrable but not essential. Candidates must have experience of offshore projects. Software: Familiarity with SAP for creating and processing subcontracts and POs essential. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) required. RESPONSIBILITIES Preparation, evaluation, negotiation of major subcontracts and purchase orders for EPCI of offshore construction projects. Assist Commercial department by obtaining quotations and issuing pre-agreements. If not already existing, ability to develop a relationship with major market players. Review variation order requests from suppliers and subcontractors, incl. price consistency and compliance with contractual terms.
