Python Engineer - Python SME, Platform Engineer, DevOps, Ansible, Support A leading institutional, agency-model broker and independent equity trading arm are looking for a Platform Engineer who is a Python SME and strong DevOps Skills (Ansible). 50-70% of the role is developing and remaining part of the role is consulting and supporting other teams regarding Python. Open to someone from an infra background with good python or a dev - as long as very good in python. But also someone who is willing to look at current approach and work out best practise etc. How to approach coding mentality Will be speaking with the business a lot to do this Spec ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Drive our Python strategy, tooling, and best practices. Support Python developers across the entire organisation with their projects. Create standards. Build out documentation, guidelines and best practices. Improve Developer Productivity. Identify issues developers face, create and roll out solutions. Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies. General knowledge of databases and parallel/distributed computing techniques SKILLS andamp; EXPERIENCES ASSESSMENT Proven experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar. Strong knowledge of Python programming. Familiarity with containerisation technologies (eg Docker, Kubernetes).
