Location:andnbsp;Hailsham, East Sussex
Salary: andpound;120 - andpound;250 per day (D.O.E)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Start Date: Immediate / February Half Term

Key Responsibilities:


  • Plan and teach History lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
  • Work closely with colleagues to share ideas, resources, and teaching strategies, contributing to a supportive department culture.
  • Create lessons that challenge and inspire students, encouraging critical thinking and a deeper understanding of history.
  • Foster a love for History, making it relevant and engaging by connecting the past with the present.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, offering feedback to help them succeed.
  • Provide extra support outside of lessons, including revision sessions and additional learning opportunities.
  • Maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment, managing behavior according to school policies.

Qualifications andamp; Experience:


  • Experience teaching History at Key Stage 3 and 4; A-Level experience is a plus.
  • A genuine passion for History and a commitment to making it accessible and engaging for all students.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • A willingness to continue developing professionally and contribute to the growth of the department.
