Mechanical Design Engineer

This Mechanical Design Engineer will see you joining one of Leeds favourite MandE contractors on one of the broadest range of schemes I''ve come across for some time. It''s a growth position in response to a full order book for the next three (yes, 3) years including traditional contracting design and direct to client design and build. The projects include a factory, college, court buildings, an energy from waste plant, crematorium and hotels. As a Mechanical Design Engineer you''ll need to be familiar with building services design, ideally having spent two years working within a consultancy or another contractor. They use Hevacomp and Cymap as well as Revit and other industry standard packages. A key benefit of the post will be working closely with their Principal Engineer developing your knowledge and expertise of all aspects of design from concept drawings through to successful handover. As an organisation they stand out thanks to rarely employing sub-contractors, having been in the business for well over 20 years and having several clients that have been working with them for just as long. When applying you will need to have worked within mechanical building services engineering, possibly in the UK or overseas prior to studying in the UK.You must also have knowledge of CIBSE standards and be comfortable applying it live projects. It''s important to note that this is a post offering training and support, but it is not suitable if you are looking for a complete trainee post.
