The Ideal Candidate:


  • Deliver engaging and high-quality Design Technology lessons to students, in line with the schoolandrsquo;s curriculum.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of the DT curriculum, ensuring alignment with national standards and best educational practices.
  • Use innovative teaching methods and resources to enhance student learning.
  • Implement effective assessment strategies to track student progress and provide meaningful feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of student achievements and regularly communicate progress with parents/guardians.
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and safe classroom culture conducive to learning.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate DT concepts within broader educational themes.

Qualifications Required:


  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • A relevant degree in Design Technology or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Design Technology at the secondary school level.
  • Strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
