Job Title: Quantity SurveyorResponsible For: Assistant Quantity Surveyor(s)Location: London and Southern Regions - Office/ Site as appropriateSalary: 65,000 to 70,000Job Overview:Main Purpose and Summary of Role:To manage the commercial resources (people and finance) of the assigned project to maximise planned gross margin through the placement and control of contracts and subcontracts. To assess, review, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks. To support the authorisation and submission of project variations. To authorise the placement of contracts, subcontracts, material, and plant orders. To maximise cash flow through the control, measurement (including quality), and valuation of work, and the invoicing of customers and payment of suppliers. This role would be focusing on recladding projects.Main Duties:To implement and comply with health and safety policies and procedures, all legal requirements, and best practices on projects and within the commercial function.Actual gross margin and gross profit achieved compared with budget and planned gross margin. Provide regular updates to the Managing QS / Snr QS or Operations Director.To take advantage of opportunities to develop oneself and others.Create and maintain a procurement schedule in line with the contract programme.
