Job Title: Early Years Educator

Job Type: Full-time (30-40 hours per week)
Pay: £12.50 - £15.00 depending on experience
Expected Hours: 20 – 40 hours per week

Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum Level 3 Qualification as per government guidelines
- At least 2 years of previous experience working with and caring for children under 5, ideally in an early year setting
- A passion for delivering high-quality childcare and creating exciting learning opportunities
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
As an Early Years Educator, the individual will be responsible for supporting management and staff within the setting to ensure the highest standards of care and education. Specific duties include:
- Acting as a key person to ensure that every individual child's needs are met, including supporting parents with any special educational needs or additional needs.
- Prioritising the safeguarding of children and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
- Attending parents' evenings, recruitment/open day events, and relevant training sessions.
- Contributing to and participating in training and staff meetings to remain up to date with EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) requirements within the nursery.
- Building strong relationships with parents and carers, providing daily reports on their child's time at nursery.
- Taking ownership of observations, assessments, and planning for key children in line with EYFS, offering developmentally challenging next steps.
- Staying current with childcare policies and procedures.
- Being a team player to ensure the nursery achieves excellent outcomes in internal audits and external inspections, such as Ofsted.
