We are looking for a skilled CAD Draftsman to join our client’s team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a complete 3D model of a cold-rolled steel frame, including all structural components, annotations, and specifications for steel sections, brackets, bolts, fixings, and cladding. This model will support the manufacturing team in fabricating the structure.
 
Location: Cinderford (Hybrid/ remote working available)
Employment type: Full time Monday- Friday
Hours: 08:00-17:00  (Overtime available)
Salary: £25,000-£27,000 Monthly/Annual Performance Bonus Scheme
Holiday: 20 Days Bank holiday, plus additional allowance over Christmas

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop a detailed 3D model of a cold-rolled steel frame, incorporating all structural components.
• Provide clear annotations and specifications for bolts, brackets, fixings, and cladding.
• Prepare and submit General Arrangement (GA) drawings for approval.
• Work closely with the engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are ready for fabrication.
• Maintain industry standards in drafting and structural steel design.
• Make design updates as needed, ensuring smooth coordination between project stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate:

• Proficient in AutoCAD for both 2D and 3D modelling.
• Strong understanding of CAD design in building construction, experience in structural steel framing is advantageous but not essential
• Ability to create detailed 3D models and General Arrangement drawings.
• Attention to detail to ensure accurate and clear designs.
• Able to collaborate effectively with engineers and manufacturing teams to deliver production ready designs.
