Investigating Officer

Surrey Police are looking for experienced Criminal Investigators to work within the North Surrey Domestic Abuse team.Candidates must be PIP 1 qualified and PIP 2 is desirable. Candidates must also be available to start in the position asap, once the required clearances are completed and authorised.Working Monday to Friday 36 hours per week, between the hours of 8am and 5pm. You will be based at Staines Police Station. PLEASE NOTE DUE TO POLICE VETTING CRITERIA YOU MUST HAVE RESIDED WITHIN THE UK CONTINUOUSLY FOR AT LEAST 5 YEARS AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION.Please see below more information regarding the Investigating Officer role with the Domestic Abuse Team.You will be working as part of a specialist team of police officers and staff who are passionate about protecting some of the most vulnerable people in our communities from domestic related abuse. This is a very demanding but most rewarding role. Please also note the serious and distressing nature of some of the crimes investigated on this team for example CCB (Controlling and Coercive Behaviour), HBA (Honour Based Abuse), Sexual assault and Rape.You will carry your own case load of PIP1 (professionalising investigation programme level 1) cases from reporting to trial and everything in-between.
