Job Title: Diesel Mechanic – Mining

Location: Mpumalanga

Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary:
Hire Resolve’s Client are seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join their mining operation in Mpumalanga. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing a fleet of heavy-duty diesel vehicles and equipment used in our mining operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mining equipment maintenance and repair, as well as a solid understanding of diesel engines.

Responsibilities:
– Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty diesel vehicles and mining equipment
– Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs
– Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on all equipment
– Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety standards and regulations
– Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
– Assist in managing inventory of spare parts and equipment
– Assist in training and mentoring junior mechanics

Qualifications:
– Trade Certificate in Diesel Mechanics and Grade 12
– Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Diesel Mechanic in a mining environment
– Solid knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components
– Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Benefits:
Salary: R800k – R700k
