HV Design Manager with proven skills in the design and construction of electrical High Voltage distribution networks/HV networks, 33kV, 66Kv, and ideally up to 132kV, combined with experience in team leading or managing teams, is required by a prestigious high-voltage electrical design and contracting business with offices in Wakefield and Stockton upon Tees and primarily supporting electrical distribution operators in the North East and Lincolnshire. This hybrid role and can be based from either Wakefield or Stockton upon Tees three days per week. Salary Circa £75-80k + £6k Car Allow + Bens + Bonus (Relocation assistance is a possibility) Key skills required as a HV Design Manager would include Good working design and construction knowledge of 11kV, 33kV, 66kV ideally through to 132kV (E)HV networks and substations, including switchgear, transformers, underground circuits, earthing and protection.Experience in the team leadership/Line management, mentoring of a design team, current team is around 6 peopleMinimum of HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.Experienced with electrical engineering design and practices and have a working knowledge of the electricity distribution business and how this interacts with Private networks.Ideally Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartered status.Good team working and communication skills and able to manage a range of internal staff, partners, consultants and contractors.
