We are seeking a Design Engineer to join a thriving Design and Development Department which is offering a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the development of modern passenger car powertrain systems. Your responsibilities as a Design Engineer: Designing and developing powertrain components. Navigating the automotive development process from concept to production. Applying knowledge of design for manufacture, including material selection, machining techniques, and tolerance design. Interpreting CAE and CFD analysis data to inform component design decisions. Developing FMEA and design verification test plans. Analysing test data to refine design approaches. Prioritising tasks to meet project deadlines and collaborating effectively within a team. Your current experience which will help you as a Design Engineer: A degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive, Mechatronics Engineering, or similar. A solid understanding of vehicle/powertrain systems and components such as ICE, e-machines, hybrid systems, and battery systems. Proficiency in GDandT, FMEA, DVPandR, and 8D Techniques. Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, with a capability to lead as needed. A valid driving license and willingness to travel as required for the role.
