We have an exciting opportunity in Greenwich, for an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join a well-structured and dynamic team. The London Borough of Greenwich offers a full time contract with a fair and manageable caseload and further training in your portfolio. The vacancy will be for an initial 3 - 6 months with potential for extension.Main Duties for the Occupational Therapist includes;Undertake casework (allocated by Prison Social Care Management) focusing on promoting independence, wellbeing and preventative strategies Case work, discuss any casework which is or becomes complex, i.e. Moving and Handling needsEnsure all case work / recording is completed in a timely manner within the target frameworks Attend Prison Social Care and Commissioning Meetings / training and supervisory discussions as required / case conferences, contract and operational meetings; safer custody and safeguarding meetings To Be Successful;Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist in Social CareHave a valid Counter Terrorism Clearance by the Ministry of JusticeManual handling experienceHCPC RegistrationEnhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)Eligibility to work in the UKOccupational Therapist QualificationBenefits of Working at the London Borough of GreenwichOur client offers the opportunity for additional training for both perm and temporary members of staff within the authority.
