We are currently looking for an experienced Booking Officer that can maximise appointment, ensure the smooth running of the reception area, and utilise booking systems to manage appointments.Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to hold a Standard DBS. About the Role: Communicate with patients in a sensitive, confidential and tactful manner; some of the issues can be of a complex and contentious natureWork closely with the Administration Team Leader, Consultants, Superintendents and Senior Medical Staff, Sonographers and Radiographers to contribute positively to the effectiveness and efficiency of the teamWork as part of the team with effective communication between all parties concernedPlan own work for the day to utilise all appointment spaces efficiently taking into account last minute availability and cancellations so that there are no wasted appointmentsTo accurately use department computer systems, inputting data and retrieving information as necessaryAbout You: Competent in a range of packages including MS Word and MS ExcelExperience of working with people both over the phone and face to faceFlexible attitude to work rotation Confidence to work on own initiativeAble to plan work, set prioritiesAbility to concentrate for long periods maintaining accuracyPrevious experience of working in a caring situationIf you know someone suitable for this role, share the word and through our referral scheme receive up to 250!
