There will be site visits required so if you are Glasgow based be aware there will be travel required.You need to have experience of designing HV railway power systems for 3rd rail.What you''ll be doingCreate and implement design solutions for the Traction Business.Ensure integration, technical assurance, compliance, health, safety, and sustainability of design and engineering to enable a compliant, defect-free handover for operational service, delivered on time and within budget.Coordinate with the Principal Designer and Principal Contractor, ensuring regular information flow to meet CDM requirements.Develop specifications, datasheets, calculations, schedules, and drawings.Review and check vendor documents and information for electrical compliance with project specifications.Support the Design Manager and contribute to design and construction reviews and sign-offs.Ensure design risks are considered and prepare design risk assessments, communicating residual design risks to relevant parties.Develop and implement Power Systems Traction design proposals, ensuring they meet client requirements, including budget constraints, and present proposals for client approval.Oversee the design and ..... full job details .....
