About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate Year 6 teacher for a full-time role in a Chatham-based primary school. This is a long-term supply position starting ASAP, running until Easter 2024, with the possibility of extension. Youandrsquo;ll be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across the Year 6 curriculum, working as part of a supportive team. If youandrsquo;re an experienced educator who thrives in a dynamic environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

The school is an Ofsted-rated "Good" mixed primary school with around 400 pupils. They foster a caring, nurturing environment that prioritises the wellbeing of both staff and pupils. The Senior Leadership Team is committed to supporting teachers and providing opportunities for professional development.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across the Year 6 curriculum.
  • Conduct precise assessments of pupils'' progress, as required by the school and external bodies.
  • Foster an environment of positive behaviour management, setting clear boundaries and recognising potential in all students.
  • Support and nurture pupils to ensure they reach their full academic potential.
  • Work collaboratively with the school team to ensure the smooth running of the classroom and school activities.
  • Maintain high standards of punctuality, work standards, and home learning for pupils.

What Weandrsquo;re Looking For:


  • A dedicated and resilient teacher with QTS.
  • Available to start immediately and work full-time until Easter 2024.
  • Experience in teaching Year 6 (Upper Key Stage 2).
  • A strong grasp of child development and the pedagogy of teaching and learning.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • An adaptable teacher who can engage with a wide range of learning needs, including SEND.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire students to reach their full potential.
