Our client are part of the UK s Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, they are public body responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient clean-up of the UK s nuclear legacy, their work involves a range of activities for safely transporting materials to and from nuclear sites and providing nuclear transport solutions for a range of customers based in the UK and Overseas.They also provide transport services outside of the nuclear sector, operating a number of intermodal rail services in consumer goods and general freight markets.We are recruiting for an experienced Lead Design Engineer to join our client based in Warrington on a 6 month contract basis, the client can be flexible on the location and extension of the contract for the right person. You will be responsible for leading the delivery of engineering design tasks or projects to meet agreed time, cost, and quality objectives. This includes the line management of design engineers and third-party suppliers. You will also lead the delivery of Radioactive Material (RAM) transport engineering activities and projects and provide technical advice to NTS and Clients.
