Stores assistant required for our global client based in Derby, this is a permanent opportunity to join a thriving business.
The stores operative will work within a workshop environment, carrying out inspections and repairs to customer specification, this role involves going to customer sites.
Duties include

• Visual inspection of engine stands & products delivered
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Painting duties
• Taking delivery of products and storage
• General workshop duties including the good housekeeping of the workshop area
• Manual handling with full adherence to Health & Safety standards
• Engage in training, development and education in order to keep skills and knowledge current and to strive for continual improvement

Requirements for the role

• Visual Inspection
• FLT an advantage but not essential
• Proven experience in welding and fabrication (would be advantageous)
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Willingness to travel to local sites and be on call
• Valid driving licence essential

Full time 38 hours Mon – Thur 8:00 - 16:30 & Fri 7:00 - 13:00
Hourly Rate - £11.44- £11.52 per hour Overtime rate
