We are seeking an experienced HGV Mechanic with a strong background in heavy goods vehicle maintenance and repair of a wide range of vehicles, plant, and machinery. It is essential that you have recent up to date time served as an HGV Mechanic to be considered HGV Mechanic Responsibilities and DutiesService, maintenance, and repair of all types of petrol and diesel engine vehicles, plant, and machinery, with a focus on HGVs.Conduct regular, cyclical safety and roadworthiness inspections, including MOT preparations.Diagnose vehicle defects using diagnostic equipment.Perform general repairs and major overhauls or replacements of engines and gearboxes.Attend vehicle breakdowns and conduct necessary roadside repairs.Carry out automotive electrical work.Perform gas and electrical welding.Undertake any other tasks related to the repair and maintenance of HGVs, plant, and machinery.
