Our client, a small school in Cambridge, is looking for a Part Time English Teacher to join their Secondary team (Key Stage 3 and 4) to start in January 2025. Candidates must be able to demonstrate creation of an innovative curriculum in their subject area. Candidates will be expected to employ teaching, learning and assessment strategies which meet students individual needs and support differentiated learning, and must be able to illustrate and demonstrate these skills. Candidates would be expected to: Maintain thorough and current knowledge in the disciplines taught and maintain a full overview of curriculum developments. Engage fully with professional learning opportunities, including INSET, working groups and professional learning communities. Work collaboratively and support the professional learning of colleagues. Reflect on practice and pursue consistent improvement. Maintain a stimulating learning environment, paying due care and attention to the quality of resources and displays. Complete all administrative tasks in a timely manner, in accordance with policy. This includes the writing of reports, keeping of registers and maintenance of student data. Attend and contribute to meetings, for example staff meetings, Parents Evenings, sectional/departmental meetings, and individual parent meetings. Work outside normal school hours on occasions.
