My client, a leading independent clinical testing laboratory based in Chiswick, are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Medical Laboratory Assistant with outstanding customer service skills to join their team. This is a permanent role, full time.Main Responsibilities: Assisting and supporting Biomedical scientists in providing a professional effective pathology laboratory serviceProcess patient samples in good time and make sure that turnaround times for reporting results are achieved and maintained.Identify and troubleshoot issues with specimens or analytical equipment.Accurately labelling and sorting samplesData entry using the laboratory Information System (LIMS)Pre analytical processing of samplesPreparing reagents and managing consumablesMaintain and run specialist lab equipmentTemperature monitoringMonitoring of stock levelsDaily decontamination and cleaning of laboratory equipment and work areasDisposing of chemical and biological wasteKeeping up to date with filling recordsAnswering telephone enquiries professional and appropriately. Requirements: Work experience in a diagnostic laboratory 12 months minimumDemonstrable technical skills in pathology disciplines and the use of Laboratory systemsHigh attention to detail and ability to follow lab protocolsSome theoretical and practical knowledge of pathology is desirable but not essentialStrong data inputting skillsBachelor''s degree in Biological or Biomedical sciences If you are a pro-active candidate, ideally with ..... full job details .....
