Axi Recruitment is working with an established renewables business in the Hull area for an experienced Project/Process Engineer who will lead on all design projects and document deliverables, on large scale heat pump projects being deployed throughout the UK. Job Responsibilities: Develop and review Functional Design Specifications / Control Philosophies to define system operations, ensuring clarity in control logic and interfaces. Create and maintain single-line diagrams (SLDs), control schematics, process flow diagrams and PandIDs using AutoCAD. Perform heat and material balance calculations, equipment sizing, selection and process simulations. Support the procurement process by evaluating vendor technical documentation and ensuring compliance with design requirements. Manage design projects from conception to delivery, ensuring timelines budgets and quality standards are met. Act as the interface between Process Engineering and other disciplines, such as Mechanical, Instrumentation, and Civil Engineering. Support the Operations Team and Sales Team by providing expertise and training. Support external teams, leading clarification meetings. Coordinate and monitor project deliverables, including technical specifications, datasheets, and drawings, ensuring timely submission to clients and vendors. Maintain thorough documentation and reporting for projects. Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
