Maintenance Engineer (Contract) 35.00p/h Outside IR35Southamptongap technical are proud to be representing a Market Leading Aerospace business in their search for an Mechanically Biased Maintenance Engineer to work at their facility based in SouthamptonPerformance ObjectivesPerform routine maintenance on CNC machines, presses, robots, chemical treatment plants, ovens, and burners.Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on a variety of machinery.Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and performance.Implement and maintain safe work practices and procedures.Collaborate with other departments to schedule and perform maintenance activities without disrupting production.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.Knowledge of CNC machines, presses, robots, and chemical treatment processes.Basic electrical knowledge and the ability to perform basic electrical repairs.Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.Familiarity with risk assessments and safety systems such as COSHH, safe working practices, and working at heights.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.Familiarity with computer-aided maintenance management systems (CMMS).Willingness to work flexible hours and ..... full job details .....
