GI Group are seeking a Catering Assistant for one of their food manufacturing sites based in Scunthorpe. We are looking for candidates with previous catering / kitchen experience and a Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable.As a Catering Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the preparation, cooking, and service of meals in the kitchen and canteen, particularly during breakfast and lunch services. Your responsibilities will include maintaining high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and food preparation while ensuring that all tasks are completed in accordance with company guidelines and regulations. You will assist with food labelling, ensure compliance with allergens, and help keep accurate records.Shifts;Monday to Friday 2PM-9PMPay; 12.50ph Key Responsibilities:1. Meal Preparation, Cooking, and Cleaning Service:o Assist with the cooking, preparation, and serving of breakfast and lunch, ensuring meals are prepared and served to the highest standards.o Follow a rotational schedule, spending one week on cleaning duties and the next week on cooking, ensuring both areas are effectively managed.o Take and fulfil customer or call orders accurately and promptly, ensuring timely service.o Ensure that food is cooked to the required standards and within health and safety guidelines.2.
