My client is looking for a Battery Engineer / Field Service Engineer to complete work on a range of customer''s sites. They are ideally looking for an experiened Battery Engineer, who is confident, with excellent communication and customer service skills. This is a permanent full-time position. Location: Reading - As this is a field service role, you can live upto 1 hour away from Reading Hours: Monday to Friday dayshift - 40 hour week with no call outs / weekends Salary: £28,000pa to £35,000pa DOE + overtime paid at x1.5 BENEFITS: 25 days annual leave plus 8 public holidays Company pension scheme Company van Company tablet, laptop and mobile phone KEY ACTIVITIES and RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain and repair forklift batteries and charging equipment on customer sites Liaise closely with Key Accounts and carry out repairs and services as required Carry out battery topping, cleaning, and maintenance on customer premises Shift covers for sickness and holiday support Submit all job sheets and reports to head office on a weekly basis Safely prepare equipment for transportation Build up strong relationships with members of staff and customers Work closely with the service department to plan and schedule jobs and prioritise urgent callouts QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS Knowledge of forklift batteries and chargers is desirable but not essential Background in Battery and Charger repairs and maintenance is desirable but not essential Excellent communication skills within the company and ..... full job details .....
