An established and forward-thinking law firm is seeking a part-time Accounts Assistant to join its small but busy accounts department. The role focuses on delivering accurate and timely transactional work while maintaining strong relationships with clients. Working in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment, you''ll be an integral part of a team that ensures compliance with regulatory standards.Hours:Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday9:00 AM to 5:00 PMKey Responsibilities:Maintain accurate accounting records in line with Solicitors Accounts RulesProcess high volumes of receipts and payments across various bank accountsManage daily reconciliations using practice management software (Tikit Partner for Windows)Handle tasks including purchase ledger, expense ledger, online invoicing, payroll, and month-end accounts productionAct as the first point of contact for payment queries and proactively communicate with fee earnersEnsure compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules, internal policies, and relevant legislationProvide support in training new colleagues in accounting processesAssist in the preparation of annual accounts and offer general administrative support to the accounts teamQualifications:Minimum GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and EnglishAAT or similar accounting qualification is advantageousCIMA membership is a plusKnowledge and Skills:Strong IT skills, particularly in MS Office (Word and Excel)Familiarity with electronic accounting systems, with experience in Tikit ..... full job details .....
