Maintenance Surveyor Location: East London Contract: Initial 6-month contract Hours: 36 hours per week Rate: £32.57 per hour An East London borough is seeking a Maintenance Surveyor to join our dynamic Void and Repairs team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within an innovative organisation delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance services for over 12,000 properties across the borough. The Role: As a Maintenance Surveyor, you will play a critical role in delivering an efficient, responsive service to residents and ensuring high standards for void properties, repairs, and maintenance across the councils housing stock. Key Responsibilities: Provide expert advice and effective service for repairs and maintenance, including defect diagnosis, damp and structural inspections, and contractor supervision. Oversee void property inspections to ensure lettable standards are met, minimising rental losses and ensuring timely turnarounds. Monitor and manage performance within your area of responsibility to meet and exceed internal and external standards. Carry and manage a caseload, supporting residents and directing them to appropriate housing services, referrals, or signposting as necessary. Ensure all health and safety regulations are met during inspections, works supervision, and contractor management.
