Our client is an independent electronics company, who is looking to recruit an experienced Senior Electronics Design Engineer at their site near Portsmouth.About the role - What you ll be doing:New product design from initial feasibility studies, prototyping, environmental, EMC and performance testing through to production testing and product launch.Meeting agreed project timescales and allocated budgets.Conduct detailed hardware and software design.Train and support of junior team members.Work with other disciplines within an integrated team.Generation of design, test and installation / user documentation and manuals.Design and build of special to type test equipment for production testing.Occasional installation and commissioning support on marine vessels within the UK and overseas.Delivering inhouse and customer training seminars.Liaise with Notified Bodies (TUV, DNV etc).Your qualifications, skills and experiences:Qualifications:Degree in electronic engineering including control system theory with a minimum of 7 years post-graduation experience.Essential:Proven knowledge and experience of digital and analogue electronics technologies.Schematic design, capture and PCB layout.Ability to create and maintain technical documentation that supports the product development process including product specifications, manuals and end user instructions.Ability to create and give presentations to customers and partners.Experience of the full design lifecycle, including taking designs ..... full job details .....
