WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

Compliance is a team within Global Functions Technology that deals with trading and employee surveillance, privacy, and risk governance. This position is within the Compliance Technology area of GFT. The ideal candidate will lead the design, automation, and management of DevOps and Platform infrastructure in Compliance Technology. This role will act as a technical leader in Toronto and report to the Director of Data and Engineering for Compliance Technology.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Establish and implement DevOps best practices within Compliance Technology.
  • Translate centralized DevOps initiatives into actionable items for Compliance Technology.
  • Develop technical solutions for common IT Risk items and spearhead their implementation.
  • Develop and implement scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure solutions.
  • Collaborate with development teams, provide technical leadership, and mentor junior engineers.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must have:

  • 8+ years of experience in DevOps and Infrastructure fields.
  • Expertise in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
  • Solid understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Ansible, Chef, or Terraform.
  • Strong experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Proficiency with VM platform OSes, Linux, and Windows.

Nice-to-have:

  • Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with security best practices and compliance standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Experience in a matrix environment, such as a large, publicly-traded corporation.
