Primary Autism Support AssistantAutism Specialist School - HuddersfieldFull-time position KS1/KS2 SupportNextGen Teachers are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a Specialist Autism School in Huddersfield who are looking for an Advanced Autism Complex Needs Support Assistant to work with students aged 6-11 years.The students in this class have severe Autism and a cognitive age of 1-2 years meaning majority of these Primary students are non-verbal and require 1:1 support and personal care.This is a full-time position starting ideally as soon as possible and will be for a temporary to permanent contract with the school working Monday - Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm during term time with 13 weeks of holiday per year.The process for this school would be a registration and vetting checks through NextGen Teachers, a full trial day/interview and then a job offer in the new couple of weeks.This school is just a 15 minute walk from the Huddersfield Train station and for drivers there is a secure car park at the school.This school is keen to support aspiring individuals who are looking for career progression.We are looking for candidates who:Have a minimum of a Level 3 QualificationHave experience working with young people with complex needsExperience working with people with AutismHave experience with changing and personal careHave a passion to support children with additional needsHave full-time availabilityHave a DBS on the update service or, willingness to complete oneIf you are ..... full job details .....
