Chief Systems Engineer 3 - 6 Month Rolling Contract Bristol + Andover (Hybrid) £(Apply online only)/day (Outside IR35) Chief Systems Engineer needed with active SC Security Clearance and experience of working in the Defence / MOD domain. 3 - 6 Month Rolling Contract with a strong probability of extensions and potential for long-term work. Start ASAP in February/March 2025. Hybrid Working: 3-4 days/week remote (WFH) and 1-2 days/week travel to sites based in Bristol and Andover. A chance to work with a leading digital transformation business on large-scale Defence / MOD projects: Providing technical leadership across systems engineering disciplines being delivered by external suppliers. Leading the design, testing + integration of programme solutions ensuring reliability, security and scalability. Acting as the primary technical interface between the supplier, internal Defence Digital teams and key stakeholders. Owning the software factory roadmap + development requirements for current and future contracts. In-depth experience of systems engineering leadership roles within complex Defence / MOD project environments. Experience of delivering large-scale Defence Digital technology solutions -eg- secure communications, mission-critical applications, data analytics. Experience of cloud architectures, on-premise, cyber security, software development methods, system integration + deployable technologies.
