Join us at the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association and play a pivotal role in ensuring people affected by MND have access to new and innovative treatments. As a Senior Policy Advisor (Access to Treatments), you will be essential in providing the Association with the vital information and analysis needed to influence health and care policymakers. You will lead on issues related to access to treatments and healthcare, including the availability of medicines, genetic tests, and new care models. You''ll monitor the policy landscape and regulatory environment, develop policy positions, and engage with external partners to maximise the availability and accessibility of treatments and clinical trials. You will collaborate closely with our internal colleagues, particularly the Senior Policy Advisor for Research and Healthcare, to enhance the availability of clinical trials. Your work will involve analysing policy issues, identifying solutions, and preparing briefing documents for senior colleagues. Engagement with a variety of stakeholders, including clinicians, researchers, and people with MND, is key. You will also liaise with organisations such as the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), and NHS England, communicating the MND Association''s positions through policy papers, briefings, and reports.
