Technical Manager Opensite Limited and its associated Companies have a portfolio of existing tenanted sites in strategic locations across England. These are used for open storage by the logistics industry, together with six sites in various stages of development totalling around 50 acres in Birmingham, Manchester, Kettering, Bridgewater and Gloucester. We are also looking to acquire more sites in the UK. We are looking to recruit a Technical Manager to ensure the efficient procurement and delivery of works from pre-construction through to handover to tenants. Utility design, ground works and surfacing procurement are the key critical elements of our construction and suitable candidates should have an interest in and extensive experience (10 years +) of successful and cost-effective delivery of such works. Reporting to our Managing Director the successful candidate will be supported by a trainee project manager and site representation. Role and Responsibilities as a Technical Manager: Office based in Essex (hybrid to be discussed) Managing the planning and delivery of infrastructure, groundworks and surfacing for new sites. Co-ordinate all technical information for new sites including location and serviceability of existing services. Create initial site utility designs. Prepare specifications for construction works required to enable tenders/quotes. Review tenders and award contracts. Manage and monitor the civils and utilities works on site.
