Jim Gleeson at the CK Group is working with a clinical-stage biotechnology company who are developing neurological medicines. They are looking for a Director of Preclinical RandD, an experienced preclinical pharmacologist, to lead RandD strategy for their lead product and pipeline programs. This role will be a permanent position requiring you to be office based in London once a week. RESPONSIBILITIES: As Director of Preclinical RandD you oversee preclinical RandD activities on a strategic and operational basis.Leadership of the RandD team and oversight of the budgetOversight of the generation of new pharmacological data to support neurological product developmentManagement of a variety of third-party research partnersReview and oversight of preclinical regulatory submissions to multiple regulatory authoritiesClose collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer to provide preclinical pharmacology expertise for the design of clinical trial protocolsQUALIFICATIONS:As Director of Preclinical RandD you will require:BSc or PhD in Pharmacology or a related subjectStrong industry-based experience of heading up preclinical researchAn excellent knowledge of CNS disease mechanisms and preclinical modelsExperience of scientific contribution to regulatory documentsStrong project and financial management skillsBENEFITS:Salary of up to 120K and benefits packageApply:Please quote job reference (phone number removed) in all correspondence. ..... full job details .....
