The Role/Responsibilities:
- Offer patient and empathetic support to children with complex learning difficulties.
- Communicate effectively with parents and teachers, providing behavioural and emotional guidance.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver tailored support for students exhibiting challenging behaviour.
- Work with SEN pupils on a 1:1, small group, and whole-class basis, adjusting teaching methods to suit individual needs.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Bring creativity and fresh ideas to lessons to engage and inspire students.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.
- Follow child protection, health, safety, and confidentiality policies, reporting any concerns as required.
- Support with pupil supervision before and after school, as well as during breaks.
Ideal Candidate:
- A strong understanding of SEN and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
- NVQ in Childcare and Education or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (unqualified candidates are encouraged to apply).
- Experience supporting children''s social and emotional development.
- Enthusiastic and committed to making a positive impact on studentsandrsquo; lives.
- Ability to commute to Chesham.
- Current valid DBS or willingness to obtain one.
