Role Responsibilities:Not limited to Design and development of packaging and mounting arrangements for COTSDesign of electro-mechanical assembliesProducing part and GA drawingsConducting peer reviewsDesigning for manufacture reviewRouting cables in 3D CADProducing cable/harness assemblies and drawingsWhat BAE Systems are looking for, from you:Qualification in mechanical engineeringExperience as a mechanical design engineerProficiency with 3D CAD packages such as Siemens NX or SolidworksSound knowledge of design and engineering principles and best practicesExperience of designing sheet metal, machined parts and assembliesStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication abilitiesExperience with cable routing and managementAttentive to detail and critically mindedDesirable A basic understanding of electronicsFEA, CFD simulation experienceExperience with designing for EMC complianceExperience with designing for military usageSecurity Requirements: SC, ITAR and UK EYES ONLYThis role will require the person to hold full Security Clearance (SC) prior to working onsite.
