Tradewind Recruitment are working closely with a secondary pupil referral unit (PRU) in the Chorley area who require a Level 3 teaching assistant to support the learning of students with social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH) on a 1:1 basis. The school provide an educational setting for pupils who have been excluded from mainstream education, and offer a nurturing and restorative environment to rehabilitate students and improve behaviour and learning. The successful applicant for this teaching assistant role will be working closely with Year 11 students who demonstrate challenging behaviour, and often require small group and 1:1 support to keep them engaged. The students also struggles with anxiety and mental heath issues and therefore require a dynamic and positive role model to promote engagement and learning. The pay for this work will be 90- 95 per day dependant upon experience - and this will be paid directly via PAYE by our amazing on-site payroll team, without the need for signing up with a third party umbrella company. The position will commence as soon as possible, and will last for the entire 2024/25 academic year, with a permanent position becoming available for the right candidate.
