Supply Desk are seeking a qualified PE Teacher (with QTS) for a full-time or part-time, long-term supply contract at an outstanding girls'' grammar school in Maidstone. This exciting opportunity is available immediately and will run until the end of the academic year.
If you are passionate about Physical Education and have experience planning and delivering engaging, structured, and inclusive lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, this could be the ideal role for you! The successful candidate will be a proactive, team-oriented individual with strong classroom management skills and a commitment to fostering a positive and active learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, structured PE lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, ensuring they are engaging, inclusive, and accessible to all abilities.
- Plan and prepare lessons that align with the national curriculum and school standards.
- Encourage student participation in physical activities and support their overall development in PE.
- Maintain effective classroom management and create a positive, supportive atmosphere.
- Collaborate with the PE department and school staff to contribute to the success of the curriculum and extracurricular activities.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching PE at the secondary level.
- Strong experience in planning and delivering PE lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
- A passion for PE and promoting an active, healthy lifestyle.
- A fantastic team player who enjoys working collaboratively with colleagues.
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Right to work in the UK and the ability to provide two professional references from the last two years.
