TEACHING ASSISTANTS required from January 2025 Due to expansion of the SEN provision across the Trust, South Lincolnshire Academies Trust are looking to appoint Teaching Assistants across the Trust - positions are available at Bourne Academy, Spalding Academy, Giles Academy (Old Leake) and Cowley Academy (Donington). The Trust recognise the importance of Teaching Assistants within their organisation who bring a wealth of knowledge and experience in order to assist our students in reaching their full potential. In order to support our TAs with their career development, we have recently introduced Teaching Assistant Responsibility (TAR) allowances which is an additional salary payment in recognition of any extra responsibility taken on. TARs, which are unique to the Trust, have been designed to align with Teaching staff who, similarly receive a Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR) allowance. The level of responsibility will determine the level of the TAR payment and will range from £500 to £3,500 per annum potentially equating your salary scale to beyond GLEA 3.9 up to GLEA 6.16. Essential for the post is the ability to establish mutually respectful and supportive relationships with our students. The work will be challenging but rewarding and experience of working with students of secondary school age would be an advantage although not essential, as would NVQ2 or above.
