This company has been at the forefront of the construction industry for over 150 years, and has produced some of the flagship projects in the region. Operating in the healthcare, education, industrial, and retail sectors, they have produced projects up to £150m in value. Due to continuing expansion, and the winning of several new projects, this contractor is now recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their prestigious Commercial Team based in Belfast.Your new role You will be working as an integral part of the business as part of the Commercial Team working on a variety of projects across NI and the UK. Your main responsibility will be negotiating and concluding a contract for the supply of work, goods, materials and services. As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will monitor contract progress against the agreed programmes, control costs against agreed budgets/end cost forecasts, prepare and agree interim valuations and final accounts, prepare and agree any necessary claims for reimbursements and for loss and expense. The value of projects will vary, ranging from £5m to £50m, working on forms of contract with NEC and JCT, including full design and build requirements.
