Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Sales Professional to join our team at a leading builders’ merchant in Edinburgh. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, building strong relationships with clients, and supporting the team in achieving business objectives. Responsibilities:
The role involves managing and developing a portfolio of clients, identifying opportunities to grow sales, and building long-term relationships with key customers. You will work closely with the branch manager to create and implement sales strategies that align with business goals. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and delivering quotes, negotiating contracts, and ensuring customer satisfaction. You will also monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities, provide leadership and mentorship to junior sales staff, and ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Essential Skills:
- Extensive experience in sales, preferably in the construction/builders’ merchant industry.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Solid understanding of the products and materials used in the construction industry.
- High level of organization with the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines effectively. Proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
