Mechanical Engineer - Staff or Possibly Outside IR35 Contract Nuclear Salary + Benefit or Hourly Rate Hybrid Working 4 Day Working Week - Lancashire Our leading client operates within the nuclear sector, and they are seeking a Mechanical Engineer on a staff or contract (outside IR35) basis. You ll be responsible for development of concept, scheme and detail designs, ensuring a compliant and safe design and achievement of quality standards. You will be working within a design office, there is also a manufacturing facility on site. You will also have the opportunity to work on prestigious projects for a leading nuclear based company. Material or mechanical handling project experience would be preferred. Production of technical documentation and drawings to support the development and substantiation of engineering design solutions. Ensure quality standards are met first time and nuclear safety culture is positively role modelled and upheld. Duties: Undertake engineering activities to budget and schedule, providing early identification of variances from project baseline (scope, cost and schedule). Support the Principal Engineer in identifying the completion status of engineering activities and the forecasting of activity completion. Produce Concept, Scheme and Detail Design 3D models and drawings, ensuring operation, maintenance, manufacture, construction and installation requirements are addressed.
